This week, we are not posting new content.
Instead, we’re holding space.
Like many of you, we were shaken by the tragedy at Camp Mystic — the flooding, the devastation, and the heartbreaking loss of young lives. As parents of kids the same age as those campers… as people who just spent some of our summer living and working at camp… this has hit us hard.
We know the joy, the mess, the magic of camp — the songs, the muddy shoes, the friendships that form overnight. We also know what it feels like to send your child off to camp with a mix of hope and anxiety, trusting that they’ll return home stronger, braver, changed in all the right ways.
For the families who won’t get that return — there are no words. Only grief.
And from us — our deepest, most sincere condolences.
To every family, friend, counselor, and community member affected — we see you. We’re holding you. And we are mourning with you.
At Well & Often, we believe in movement as medicine, in breath as anchor, and in community as a place to land when life feels too heavy to carry alone. This week is a reminder that our work — this space — is about far more than Pilates. It’s about people. It’s about presence. It’s about coming together.
If you are grieving, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply not okay — you are not alone.
We invite anyone in our community to reach out, respond to this note, or simply share how you’re doing. We’re listening. We’re here. And we will always make room for one another.
We’ll be back with new content soon — but for now, let’s be still, be present, and send every bit of our light and love to the families who need it most.
With you,
Caroline & the Well & Often team
