In Pilates, “centering” is the foundation. The origin of every movement. Joseph Pilates called the core the “powerhouse,” and he was right—it’s where strength lives, balance begins, and resilience is born.

But in the Well & Often Method, we expand this idea.

The core isn’t just your abs. It’s a 360-degree system—front, back, sides, top and base. It’s your diaphragm, your pelvic floor, your transverse abdominis, your multifidus muscles, and your obliques, all working together in harmony. This is the deep architecture of support.
